Answer

There are three types of distance measurement functions: "Surface Distance", "Horizontal Distance", and "Point-to-Point Distance".
It is recommended to use each of them depending on the situation.

The surface distance can be used within the range where topographic data exists, and also can be used to calculate the number of paving slabs and the distance uphill.
Both horizontal and point-to-point calculate the distance between planes. They can be used outside of the topographic data range, so they can also be used outside of the area, for example, to calculate the distance to be transported outside of the field.

How to deal

• Surface distance: Calculates the surface of the topographic data. Used in calculations to place steel plates as an example.
• Horizontal distance: Calculates horizontal distance. This tool can actually be used off-site. Used for calculation of haul distance.
